Of oval section
Carved in polychrome lacquer (chōshitsu) in the Kamakura-bori style, in tones of red, green, brown and ochre
With distinct designs on each face, of strong Chinese inspiration
One face depicting a riverside townscape with bridges, various buildings, a fortification in the background, boats and figures
The reverse with a sparse mountainous landscape, a river, two isolated pavilions, trees (including pines and a willow) and a solitary boat
Top, base and side runners of the himotoshi carved with a geometric tortoise-shell pattern (kikkō)
Interiors of plain black lacquer
With a dark metal ojime moulded in the form of a Buddhist vajra (kongōsho)
Accompanied by a katabori netsuke en suite, in carved lacquer, depicting Daruma
(wear to the lacquer on the netsuke and on the edges of the inrō, exposing the dark underlayer)
日本江户时代,十八/十九世纪,镰仓雕风格四段堆朱漆印笼,椭圆形截面。两面分别雕刻中国风格山水及城郭river景,顶部、底部及绪通侧缘饰龟甲纹。配深色金属金刚杵形绪缔,及成套堆朱雕漆达摩根付。
