Description

Japan, Edo period, 18th/19th century

Carved in red lacquer, tsuishu, of strong Chinese inspiration

Of quatrelobed section, with four cases

Decorated in relief with the "Hundred Antiques" (Bogu) reserved on a carved ground of lozenges and flowers, hanabishi

The top with a reclining figure with long beard and prominent belly, possibly Hotei or a Rakan

The himotoshi side channels carved with flowering branches

The base with matching hanabishi pattern

Interiors in plain black lacquer

(minor losses and surface wear)



日本江户时代,十八/十九世纪。中国风四段式堆朱漆印笼,四瓣形截面,浮雕「博古」百宝纹,地饰花菱锦纹,顶部雕长须布袋或罗汉像,内髹黑漆。
