Description

China, Ming Dynasty, 15th century

Seated in dhyanasana on a double lotus base with beaded rims

His hands in bhumisparsamudra and dhyanamudra

Wearing a long flowing robe draped over the left shoulder

His face with serene expression, downcast eyes, arched eyebrows, aquiline nose and lips forming a gentle smile

With pierced pendulous earlobes

Surmounted by tightly curled hair and prominent ushnisha



中国明代十五世纪鎏金铜释迦牟尼佛坐像。佛陀结跏趺坐于双层莲花座上,莲瓣边缘饰联珠纹,双手结触地印与禅定印,身披袒右袈裟,衣纹流畅。面相慈祥,双目低垂,眉如弯月,鼻梁高挺,唇含微笑,双耳垂肩穿孔,螺发密布,肉髻高耸。
