Founded by the brothers Louis-Joseph and Jean-François Darte, Darte Frères was one of the most reputable porcelain factories of Paris in the 19th century, known for its excellent quality porcelain and exquisite decoration.
Founded in 1801 was awarded several prizes and had the royal patronage during the First Empire by Madame Mère and Empress Josephine thet appointed Darte Frères as royal suppliers.
