Portuguese silver, 2nd-half 18th century
Inverted elm shaped body of profuse repousse and chiselled decoration, broad scalloped winglet framed spout of lower shell motif from which emerges asymmetrical striated fluting, finishing in shell decorated volute
Engraved garlands to lip and asymmetrical cartouche to lower spout section
Bell shaped raised foot of foliage cartouches and stylised shells, finished by engraved and chiselled scrolls and foliage knot decoration
"C" shaped floating handle of identical decorative motifs
Oporto assay mark (P-14) João Coelho de Sampaio for 1768-1784 and maker's mark (P-501) Manuel Joaquim Moreira referred 1768-1805
