Additional Information

Note:
In 1833 Jean-Antoine (Tony) Mellerio (1798-ca.1860) established himself in the nr.1 Quai d'Orsay; he was the nephew and successor of Jean-Baptiste (Milord) Mellerio (1765-1850) famous jeweller that retires to his chateau in Ozouer-la-Ferrière in this years.
According to the "Almanach des 25000 addresses des Principaux Habitants de Paris pour l'année 1835" we can already find at the nr.3 Quay d'Orsay "Mellerio-Meller jeune, joillier-bijoutier"
Also died childless Tony Mellerio succession was assured by his four nephews: Jean-Fançois, Jean-Antoine, Joseph and Felix that already have similar businesses, separated but all under the Mellerio name (or Meller in the short version).
It is the house of Jean-François that becomes more prominent and the famous "Mellerio, dits Meller" established at Rue de la Paix ends up buying (between the late 19th and the early 20th century) all the firms operating under the family name, such as Mellerio-Meller or Mellerio-Borgnis
