Description

Circular base decorated with two large friezes representing floral and architectonic motifs and cartouches on textured ground; the stem lower part in baluster form decorated in the same laguage as the base and upper part with spiral and textured decoration; large candle guards with similar barroque decoration.
Candle guards and bases with wood filling and iron pivot. Unmarked, Portuguese or Brazilian work of the late 17th, early 18th century.
