This pair of urns follows a model supplied by the Swedish Manufacture of Marieberg, which were inspired by ancestral Scandinavian models.
Initially produced for the Swedish market they would eventually be exported to other countries such as Portugal and the USA
The same model but in blue appears on the cover of the book "As Companhias das índias e a Porcelana chinesa de encomenda" by the historian José Roberto Teixeira Leite and on page 55 of the same publication
