Description

Kangxi Period (1662-1722)
Of baluster shape, with large rounded shoulders, narrow bases and with short necks
Each decorated on the shoulder with a collar of ruyi-head shaped lappets filled with scrolling peonies and a band of lotus scrolls arround the neck
The spaces between the lappets decorated with the eight precious objects
Both with three cartouches arround the body over a row of petal lappets
Two cartouches, shaped as a fan and a scroll, containing several objects and the third, of round shape, with flowers
Both with European carved harwood stands
(sold with one of the original covers, broken at the fineal and one later made cover)
