“A mão e faca” is a composition created in collaboration with the poet Alexandre O’Neill, co-founder of Surrealism in Lisbon, whose arm features prominently in the image.
Other prints produced from the same negative are held in various collections, including the CAM – Centro de Arte Moderna Gulbenkian (Lisbon) and the MNAC – Museu Nacional de Arte Contemporânea.
