This emblem finds numerous correspondences in the descendants of Stuart Henry James Johnson (1869\u20131957), resident at Eton Place, Grosvenor Square, heir to a property and family tradition established by his father, Edmund Charles Johnson (1822\u20131895) \u2014 surgeon and later social reformer, married in 1866 to Sophia S. Woodcock. The male line traces back to Richard Johnson, hatter of Edmonton, Middlesex, who in 1809 married Ann Parsons (1787\u20131858).<br \/>\n<br
