Jo\u00e3o IV. In 1662 he accompanied Infanta D. Catarina to London for her wedding with King Charles II of England, documenting the event in seven etchings (one of which presents a view of Terreiro do Pa\u00e7o similar to that represented in the painting that is now up for auction ).
