\nThis uncommon shape serves as an example of a misinterpretation of a Western order. In this case, the elongated spout characteristic of Chinese ewers was added to the typical Western jug shape, likely presented as a prototype for a commission (J\u00d6RG, 1997). A similar-shaped ewer can be found in the collection of the Rijksmuseum, as depicted in 'Chinese Ceramics in the Collection of the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam. The Ming and Qing Dynasties,' p. 254.
