The company achieved the extraordinary longevity of approximately one century, during which remained in the family ownership. The original maker's stamp \"an antique oar\" flanked by the PQ initials wont suffer but minor alterations during the firm's long life.<br \/>\nThe house was founded by the spoon maker Pierre-Fran\u00e7ois QUEILL\u00c9, who engraved his stamp in 1808, continuing his activity until 1834.<br \/>\nHe is succeeded by Pierre-Fran\u00e7ois QUEILL\u00c9 II, cutler, who registers his own mark in October 23, 1834.
