Jo\u00e3o IV. In 1662 he accompanied Catherine of Braganza in a voyage to London on occasion of her marriage to King Charles II of England (he produced seven engravings documenting the event, one of which with a similar view of Terreiro do Pa\u00e7o as the one depicted on the painting now being sold).
