This resulted from a partnership between William and his youngest son Herbert Hutton (b.1843).<br \/>\nOn William Carr Hutton death in 1865, Herbert Hutton Sr. was joined by his brothers James Edward (b.1839) and Robert (b.1840), the company's name changing William Hutton & Sons.<br \/>\nA London showroom opened in 1863. In 1893 the firm acquired Rupert Favell & Co and in the same year became William Hutton & Sons Ltd.<br \/>\nIn 1902 they acquired Creswick & Co., beginning to use the crossed arrows marks.<br \/>\nThe last Hutton family director was Herbert Hutton Jr., just before the company collapsed in 1930. The firm was absorbed by James Dixon & Sons in that same year.<br \/>\nHutton & Sons<br \/>\nThe Victoria & Albert Museum, in London, keeps in its collections over 16 Hutton & Sons marked pieces.
