His engraved work was very important for the spread of this fashion. Published in 1755 his \"New Book of Chinese Ornaments Onvented & Engraved\", London, elucidates us how the author adapted the traditional French Rococo to the Chinese models of his taste. The drawings published include typical French forms still in the B\u00e8rain manner. Despite all this Pillement models were also spread by several other engravers that in the mid-18th century published more than three hundred drawings with Pillement motifs. In 1767 were published in Paris two hundred of those engravings, an so on...<br \/>\r\nFrom the early 19th century Chinoiseries became fashionable in a wider range of interior decorations.
