Large collection of sculpture hand painted by Thomáz de Mello. Wood and other materials. Ordered by the Society of National Propaganda, these sculptures were redesigned to meet economic needs and the taste of the time. The theme is predominantly nationalist and includes representations of several popular figures. The collection consists of sculptures of various sizes and some with disctinct purposes. Some are marked on the base with the stamp of the artist, serial number and identification of institutions that orderded them.
