Additional Information
Letter from Columbano:
Your Excellency the Countess of Ficalho
As I did not have the honour of speaking with Your Excellency after completing my decorative (?) intended to ornament the ceiling of one of the rooms of Your Excellency's palace, I have therefore not yet been able to learn Your Excellency's opinion regarding this work of mine. One can certainly understand the immense desire I have to know whether this poor production of mine had the good fortune to please Your Excellency.
The carpenter who worked with me on this work writes to me saying that Your Excellency would not make any decision about his work before giving me your instructions, I am therefore at your disposal, from now on, to receive the orders that Your Excellency may determine.
Enclosed I send Your Excellency my receipt, asking forgiveness in advance for my anticipation, but I am at this moment going through a somewhat difficult crisis as a consequence of having to begin a work of some importance for me.
May Your Excellency give your orders to your Humble Servant (?)
Columbano
