Description

An extremely rare Turquoise-Ground Qianlong (1736-1795) vase. Famille Rose decoration on turquoise ground depicting peonies, lotus, roses and other flowers. Interior of the neck and base also turquoise painted. Qianlong and Zuanshu marks.

This vase exemplifies the great variety of innovations
created during the Qianlong reign after the emperors
predilection for the development of a great color pallet which
allowed for the emergence of these difficult to achieve tones.
