Additional Information

The French foundry Susse Frères was founded in 1804 by Louis and Émile Susse in Paris. It stood out for its artistic bronze casting work, mainly in the 19th century (from 1830) and early 20th century, using the "cire perdue" (lost wax) technique. It worked with renowned sculptors such as Antoine-Louis Barye, Mathurin Moreau and Auguste Rodin.
