Famille rose decoration depicting peonies, chrysanthemums, leaves, scrolls and cartouche depicting The Order of Saint Francis insignia.
The Franciscan insignia is misrepresented; the crossed arms depicted should represent Christ’s naked arm and Saint Francis’ arm, the hands should also bear Christ and Saint Francis stigmata
High foot and neck girdled by frieze of geometric and floral decoration on blue ground
Rouge-de-fer decorated rim.
Qing Dinasty, Qianlong Period, c. 1740
(minor restoration and small chips to the body)
