Description

China, Qing Dynasty, 19th century

Of saffron-gold ground, the field decorated with an elaborate central lotus medallion in full bloom, surrounded by sinuous scrolling vines, composite flowers and auspicious clouds in tones of indigo blue, turquoise green and crimson

The field corners filled with extensions of the medallion's floral scheme in symmetrical composition

The inner border with a leiwen meander pattern on a cream ground, framed by a narrow dark blue guard stripe

The main border on the same saffron-gold ground, decorated with sinuous floral scrolls, lotus blossoms, bats and scattered auspicious motifs

With outer guard stripe and fringed ends

Approximately 220 lines per foot (18 knots per inch)

重要中国宫廷丝织地毯,中国,清代,十九世纪。藏红金色地,中央饰精美盛开莲花团花纹章,周围环绕缠枝卷草、宝相花及祥云,以靛蓝、松石绿与绯红色织就。内border饰回纹,主border同色地饰缠枝花卉、莲花、蝙蝠及吉祥纹样。每英尺约220道(每英寸18结)。
