This lot belongs to a set of, at least, three altarpieces: one of identical size depicting the "Presentation of the Virgin in the Temple" and another depicting "The Visitation of Saint Elizabeth" this one measuring 140x202 cm.
Provenance:
- The chapel of the Vaz de Carvalho family country house in Fundão;
- Mr. Henrique Chaves collection, in the chapel of the former Counts of Portalegre House in Évora;
- Private collection.
