Chinese export porcelain
Of Middle Eastern metalwork-inspired form, with a moulded globular body, tall slightly tapering neck, S-shaped spout and high handle
Decorated in underglaze blue, rouge-de-fer and gilt, with petal-shaped moulded reserves on the body filled with stylised chrysanthemums within floral scrolls
The neck with moulded vertical panels, topped by a relief border
The moulded cover with scattered floral decoration, surmounted by a spiral finial
Kangxi Period (1662-1722), circa 1710
