Ovoid shaped on three panther's head feet of foliage finials. Panther's head spout and fruit lid pommel. Engraved monogram within a cartouche topped by flower wreath framed by laurels crowned legion-d'Honeur
Paris 1798, marked A. GUILLEMIN and "1er Coq", "1er titre", "Moyenne Garantie Paris" and "Association des Orfèvres"

Antoine GUILLEMIN, master in Paris on December 18, 1784. Based at 316 rue du Doyenné. He worked until 1803.
An identical teapot by Antoine GUILLEMIN, albeit of smaller and lighter, was sold at Sotheby's (IMPORTANT EUROPEAN SILVER, Sotheby's Paris, 10 June 2004, lot 28).
