Description

Ivory, gold, gilt silver, baroque pearls, enamels, and other materials
Rectangular gold and gilt silver case of applied carved ivory plaques, and lateral enamelled cartouches with foliage motifs and birds’ decoration. The case top, featuring small Mediterranean coral carved flowers, is surmounted by a sculptural group comprising of four figures around a tree, on whose top, amongst the enamelled branches, is perched the automaton bird. Of these four figures, whose bodies are formed by large baroque pearls and polychrome enamels, two hold baskets filled with pearls and hardstones beads and one is set with one emerald and two rose cut diamonds.
Mechanic winding musical movement possibly marked and with its original key.

Leather coated and velvet lined original storage case.
