Additional Information
This typology of furniture, typically Italian, arises from the last quarter of the 15th century and subsists until the 80's of the 16th century. An object of luxury and refinement, it was used both in receptions and social audiences as a throne, as a bed in domestic and informal audiences. By the end of the 16th century the typology evolves in another format: the day bed in open permanence, reason why the morphology becomes very different.
