China, Qing Dynasty, 19th century

In polychrome porcelain with famille rose enamels, of double-walled construction

The outer body of quadrangular section, two faces with reticulated gilt panels featuring openwork auspicious motifs and two further faces with quatrelobed reserves painted with birds amid flowers

The cylindrical inner body with indistinct painted decoration, rotating freely within the outer shell and allowing partial glimpses of the inner decoration through the reticulations

The neck decorated with petal friezes and geometric bands

With gilt bulbous stopper

Apocryphal Qianlong Nian Zhi mark in iron-red to the base



清十九世纪 粉彩镂空转心鼻烟壶 双层套壶设计,外壁四面交替饰镂空描金吉祥纹及四瓣形开光花鸟图,内胆圆柱形可自由转动,颈部饰花瓣纹,配鎏金球形壶盖,底书矾红「乾隆年制」寄托款。
