A Portuguese flintlock sporting gun, by Manoel do Nascimento Gomes, 1796. Muzzle loading, gold inlaid inscription "Feito em Lisboa por Manoel do Nascimento Gomes no anno de 1796" and maker´s mark of the same gunsmith of the Arsenal Real de Lisboa. Portuguese lock (replaced when in use), silver mounts.
