French porcelain with gilt, rouge-de-fer and polychrome decoration depicting the monogram "MA" surmounted by a baron's crown, belonging to José João Martins de Pinho, 1st Baron and 1st Count of Alto Mearim (1848-1900). Marked on the reverse "V.tor Etienne/ Rue Paradis P.ère/ 29/ Paris". France, late 19th century (slight wear to gilding, signs of use)
