(very good condition)
Note: Very rare example of the production excellence in Paris porcelain in the "Greek" style. Launched at the end of the reign of Louis XVI under the impetus of Queen Marie-Antoinette following the discovery of Pompeii and Herculaneum, the so-called "Greek" taste, which prefigures the so-called "Return from Egypt" style, is characterised by the extreme rarity of its production, always of extreme luxury and intended for the high Parisian aristocracy. At the Restoration of the monarchy, this style came back into fashion thanks to its shapes similar to the Empire style but in the image of the Monarchy. A pair of pieces of this quality and in this condition is extremely rare on the market.
