Additional Information
This type of vase, of grand appearance and richly gilt, closely follows models of Russian porcelain produced by the Batenin Manufactory in Moscow (c. 1810–1830), themselves inspired by Sèvres porcelain. A comparable example is in the collection of the Russian Museum, St. Petersburg (inv. Ф–9456).
