Additional Information
In Greek mythology Ganymede was a prince of Troy and considered the most beautiful of the mortals. The young prince was taking care of the flocks of his father, the King of the Dardania, when was sighted by Zeus. Stunned by the beauty of the young boy Zeus turned into an eagle to kidnap and take him to the Olympus where Ganymede was made cupbearer of the Gods. Curiously in this case Ganymede is depicted as a woman.
