The globular body painted in underglaze blue with a continuous narrative scene

Depicting dignitaries on horseback accompanied by their attendants in a landscape with pine, bamboo, fences and rocky outcrops

Culminating on one side with an interior view of a pavilion, framed by dense swirling clouds

The shoulder decorated with a 'cloud collar' (yun jian) enclosing various floral blooms, interspersed with jewelled pendants, below a ruyi border and a band containing ruyi heads and precious objects

The base encircled by a band of horses galloping over waves amidst clouds and flames

(restoration to the neck, hairlines and minor defects)



明末清初十七世纪 青花人物故事图大罐

中国景德镇窑烧造，罐呈球形，通体青花装饰。腹部绘连续叙事场景，骑马官员与随从行于松竹、栏栅、山石之间，一侧绘亭阁内景，云气缭绕。肩部饰云肩纹，内绘花卉，间以璎珞，上承如意纹及杂宝纹饰带。胫部环饰海水奔马、云焰纹。
