Description

Wool and cotton, with ivory-beige central field, densely filled with continuous foliage composition organised around a central axis with a slightly raised medallion and a radial scheme subtly developed from the centre. The decoration is articulated through an extensive network of interlaced branches, palmettes, rosettes, lanceolate leaves, and stylised flowers. Border composed of several guards, with the main guard decorated with foliage scrolls and a succession of palmettes and floral motifs, framed by narrower guards of repetitive design. Finished with fringes at both ends.
