Description

China, Qing Dynasty, Jiaqing period (late 18th / early 19th century)

Of finely carved and pierced ivory with gilt highlights and mica panels

The hexagonal bases in gilt-decorated lacquer with scrolling floral and foliate motifs

With pierced ivory balustrades of arcaded pattern surrounding carved and gilded rockwork

The towers of seven diminishing tiers, each with open galleries supported on slender columns, pierced panels with geometric and floral motifs, and overhanging eaves with pendant bells at each corner

The finials with double gilt canopies and terminal knops

中国清代嘉庆年间(十八世纪末至十九世纪初)象牙雕镂空七层宝塔一对,饰以鎏金及云母片,六角漆金花卉纹底座,每层飞檐悬挂铜铃,顶端鎏金宝珠塔刹,工艺精湛。
