Additional Information
The form of this piece, with fixed stand, and its decoration with garlands and gilt bands find direct parallel in the pair of sucriers de table from the Manufacture du duc d'Angoulême (Dihl & Guérhard), preserved in the Musée du Louvre (inv. TH 1365–1366), dated circa 1790. The similarity demonstrates that the present example belongs to the same Parisian neoclassical repertoire produced by the manufactory in the late 18th and early 19th centuries, supporting its attribution.
