The rectangular soapstone panel carved in low relief with a scholar accompanied by an attendant in a lakeside landscape with pine tree, banana tree and rocky outcrops, lotus flowers and ruyi-shaped stylised clouds

Set within a profusely carved and pierced hardwood frame and stand decorated with dragons chasing the flaming pearl

(minor losses and defects)



中国，清代晚期，十九世纪。绿石浮雕插屏，雕琢山水人物图，文士与侍者立于湖畔，松树芭蕉、湖石莲花、如意祥云点缀其间。硬木框座透雕双龙戏珠纹（小有缺损）。
