Description

Chinese export porcelain, deep body with slightly everted edge, raised on a small circular foot. Fitzhugh pattern decoration, with central medallion featuring a stylised floral composition in reserve, surrounded by four reserves with ornamental elements in blue on white, alternating with lions, flowering branches, floral vases, and auspicious motifs in Famille Rose enamels. Border with a wide blue band, densely filled with a geometric trellis pattern, highlighted in gilt. Jiaqing period (1796–1820). (restoration; chips; hairline cracks and wear to the gilding)
