Chinese export porcelain, decorated with Famille Rose enamels and gilt. The centre with a floral arrangement of peonies and other flowers in tones of pink, yellow, blue and green, with gilt highlights. Cavetto bordered by a gilt spearhead band, and rim decorated with four reserves of flowers and fruit, alternating with four open-winged butterflies, symmetrically distributed around the piece. Qianlong period (1736–1795).
