Of square section, carved from translucent yellow Shoushan stone (huangshi) of waxy lustre
The top surmounted by a high-relief dragon amid clouds chasing the flaming pearl
The sides incised in cursive script, one inscription highlighted in red seal paste recording a dedication to "venerable elder brother Shizhen", dated the winter month of the renyin year (1902), and the opposite side bearing an inscription in the calligraphic style of Chen Mansheng (Chen Hongshou, 1768-1822) with the mark Bei'an, sobriquet of Zhao Zhiqian (1829-1884), indicating it as a homage to the latter's style
The base carved with a four-character seal in zhuanshu script

Additional Information
The main lateral face bearing an inscription recording: "Imitating the Ming dynasty method of seal carving, made for the respected brother Shizhen, winter month of the renyin year" (1902). The opposing face inscribed in the calligraphic manner of Mansheng (Chen Hongshou, 1768–1822), with a mark reading Bei'an, the sobriquet of the celebrated seal carver Zhao Zhiqian (1829–1884), indicating this to be a homage piece executed in the master's style.
