Description

China, Qing Dynasty, 19th century

Of rounded and flattened form, well hollowed, carved in high relief on one side exploiting the opaque white skin against the translucent amber-brown ground, depicting a sage figure, possibly Meng Haoran, holding a staff, accompanied by an attendant carrying a prunus branch, beneath a ruyi-shaped cloud

With a plain reverse and oval foot ring

Jadeite green cabochon stopper with a silvered metal collar



玛瑙俏色浮雕人物图鼻烟壶,中国,清代,十九世纪。扁圆形,巧用玛瑙白色俏色雕琢高士持杖(或为孟浩然)与童子持梅枝,上饰如意云纹,背面光素。翡翠盖配银鎏金座。
