Description

Kangxi Period (1662-1722), with apocryphal Xuande mark composed of six blue underglaze characters
With a barbed rim, moulded petal-shaped border, and blue and white decoration. The interior features a central medallion depicting a carp amidst waves, and a frieze of waves and cherry blossoms inside the lip. The exterior is painted with three dragons chasing flaming pearls, above a frieze comprised of sixteen petal-shaped panels filled with floral patterns.
