Additional Information

Note:
Jars of this shape were produced during a brief period in the early 18th century for the Dutch market, and examples of them are rare. The decoration on this piece is also characteristic of the early 18th century and was later reproduced on Delfware (JÖRG, 1997).
A covered jar of the same shape and a bottle with similar decoration are part of the collection at the Rijksmuseum, as documented in the book 'Chinese Ceramics in the Collection of the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam. The Ming and Qing Dynasties,' on pages 107 and 262.
