Ebony-veneered and ebonised wood, with Boulle-style marquetry, gilt bronze mounts and tortoiseshell inlay
Low case body with shaped apron, the front fitted with two drawers decorated with foliate scrolls, arabesques and acanthus motifs on a dark ground
Rectangular top lined with brown tooled leather, with borders, corner cartouches and central motif, framed by a gilt bronze perimeter moulding with gadrooned frieze
Gilt bronze mounts comprising fittings, friezes, mouldings, corner pieces and applications in the form of masks and female busts, some marked "HB"
