Patinated and gilt bronze, after a model by Claude Michel, called Clodion (1738–1814). Each candelabra composed of a dark brown patinated bronze infant figure—one candelabra with a young satyr, depicted with goat legs, and the other with a bacchanalian putto—standing on a fluted gilt bronze plinth decorated with laurel frieze and raised on a square base with cut corners. Each figure supporting naturalistic gilt bronze branches decorated with foliage and berries, forming the arms of the candelabra and terminating in tulip-shaped bobèches. France, 19th century
