Chinese export porcelain tureen and cover, modelled after French faience prototypes, with gadrooned body and scalloped cover surmounted by a serpent-form finial. With polychrome and gilt decoration depicting various flowers, friezes filled with geometric patterns and cartouches containing precious objects. Kangxi (1662-1722)/Yongzheng (1722-1735) period.
